Custom Redwood Disc for Andrew

This is a 7′ Disc, custom made for our friend Andrew. It was built from recycled plywood (internal frame structure) and a salvaged Redwood log from another friends backyard. When we first got the slab of wood to our shop it didn’t look that interesting, but once we sliced into it we noticed it was an incredible grain/colour combo, with many knots and “birds eyes” to accent the piece. The fin is from a piece of burl from the same tree, and looks great. The board itself is 7′ long, 21 3/4″ wide, 2 5/8″ thick, and fairly flat. Cork rails, Cherry vent/leash plugs accented with New Zealand Paua shell brought back by another friend. While this board looks amazing on the wall, it will be heavily surfed.
If you have certain pieces of lumber you’d like to give life to as a surfboard, contact us and we can build you a custom board with your own slices of wood as decks. We love a challenge…
