German Journeyman

This past month we were lucky enough to have a travelling Journeyman from northern Germany come work in our shop with us. Niklas has been travelling for the past 3 years, working in different wood shops throughout the world, gaining skills and knowledge as he travelled. We managed to build a couple of nice boards together, and shared many techniques and recommendations. This was his first surfboard, but being at home in the shop he did an awesome job. We didn’t manage to complete the board before he left for Germany, but we were at about 95% done. It will be going to the glassers soon, so check back to see the finished product…

Of course we also took him to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk for some fun!
