7-0 Flying Pig

Buy: $2600

This redwood “Flying Pig” mini-longboard is amazing! At 7’0″ it looks like a small longboard, low nose rocker, equal tail rocker, almost double-ended shape with parallel rails. A twin fin set-up completes this board. With moderately hard rails throughout, this board was built for going fast and turning on a dime. The decks are made of reclaimed redwood deck boards, reclaimed doug-fir from a Victorian house remodel, and the Monterey cypress tailblock came from a local beach. The original nail holes in the redwood were filled with copper tacks, blending metal and wood into a beautiful package. The fins are redwood and cedar, and have a core of “rising sun” rays.  The cork rails were stained to match the redwood, and the vent plug is in the tail block, as well as the leash loop. The board was glassed in Entropy’s new resin called “ONE”, a new bio-resin that we were testing for the folks at Entropy. The top deck has an open coat, allowing the weave of the glass to show through and creating a textured surface. It also shaves nearly a half pound of weight off of the finished board.
